LBJ Women's Campaign School Application

    Thank you for your interest in the LBJ Women's Campaign School, a nonpartisan training program for leaders who plan to run for office or manage a political campaign. The program will begin on January 16, 2027, with the intention of training potential candidates and campaign staff for the elections of 2027, 2028, and 2029.

    Applications are open from August 10, 2026 to September 30, 2026. All applicants will be invited to participate in a 15 minute rolling interview with the Executive Director after submitting their application. The application fee for this program is $50, which will go towards your tuition should you be accepted.     Program Expectations
    By applying to the LBJ Women’s Campaign School, you are committing to actively participate in all aspects of the program. Cohort members are expected to:

    • Attend all required program sessions, including:
      • In-person Kickoff (January 16–18) in Austin
      • Monthly virtual Saturday morning sessions (see dates here).
      • Networking events and campaign planning sessions
      • Media training
      • In-person Graduation on June 26 in Austin
    • Work collaboratively with group members on a campaign plan project during the month of June.
    • Meet with an assigned mentor at least once a month from January through June.
    • Complete any required assignments and prep work between sessions.
    • Be an active member of our alumni community upon completion of the program.

    Use of AI
    The LBJ Women’s Campaign School recognizes that AI tools are increasingly part of how people work and communicate today. Applicants may use these tools to organize their thoughts and proofread their writing throughout the application process. But all application responses should reflect your own experiences and voice and not be generated by AI. This application is an opportunity for our team to get to know you as a leader and the future you hope to create after attending the program.
